These features make them ideal for everyday lab use or transporting critical samples from field studies back to the research laboratory or medical office. Engineered with a unique “green” technology which utilizes the natural refrigerant: helium cooling technology provides a cost effective, environmentally friendly cooler that consumes significantly less energy without comprising quality, performance or temperature uniformity. They also offer the user the ability to run the freezer by powering it with a DC battery for five or more hours (using an adapter in a car or truck). The ease in portability of these units makes them popular for applications such as cryogenic surgery, environmental research studies and critical blood/tissue transport.
