The NuAire Class I Biological Safety Cabinet provides protection to the researcher and the environment only.  Constructed with a limited fixed access opening it utilizes a HEPA filtration system to filter exhausted air.  The NuAire Class I Biological Safety Cabinet is designed for general containment and research with low to moderate risk.  In addition, the work zone, which is typically much smaller than that of a chemical fume hood, it is ideal for working with biologics whose process/procedures dictate the use of moderate amounts of volatile liquids which are not suited for recirculating cabinets.
