The cabinet configuration allows for storage of 672, 2″ boxes or 448, 3″ boxes, making this freezer ideal for use in biorepositories, research freezer farms and other facilities where bulk storage is needed but space is limited. Its upright design with a patented VIP Plus thin-profile insulation ensures outstanding thermal insulation value while still allowing for maximum storage capacity. This leads to improved temperature stability even after frequent door openings and prolongs warm-up times during power outages. Ergonomic EZ Latch Door Handle
VIP ECO freezers also include Advanced Frost Control and an EZ Latch door design. The EZ Latch door handle is a patent pending feature engineered to tolerate recurrent door openings and control frost associated with temperature fluctuations, protecting the samples you store. The doors handle arcs to 45 degrees in total movement for easy operation. Positive latching inner doors supplement the insulation factor of the outer door which helps in maintaining the door seals integrity assuring energy efficiency. The EZ Latch is the new standard on all of the units in the PHCbi VIP ECO -86°C / -80°C Laboratory Freezer Series.
Touchscreen Microprocessor Controller | Alarms & Data
Much like the other PHCbi low temp freezers, an additional standard feature is the microprocessor controller. The controller combines freezer operation including, desired set-point security, system monitoring, performance predictions and data logging functions into a single display. The large color LCD touchscreen can be controlled with gloved hands and is password protected. The display includes audio and visual warnings, unit diagnostics, temperature and door opening data. A USB port permits the convenient transfer of operating history as desired.
