Cryogenic chest freezers are designed for long-term storage and preservation of blood, whole tissue, cell, specimens and other biological materials at temperatures of -140°C and -150°C without the need of liquid nitrogen. Our cryogenic chest freezers from Panasonic are safer, more economical, and more convenient than liquid nitrogen storage systems by providing better top-to-bottom temperature uniformity, eliminating any concerns about possible cross-contamination, and eliminating hazardous operating and maintenance costs associated with LN2 storage. All of our cryogenic chest freezers feature a microprocessor controller with digital display to control and monitor all critical parameters, robust, mechanical refrigeration system to maintain uniform storage temperatures, and durable construction with swivel casters for easy maneuverability. These units are available in 6.8, 8.2, and 10.3 cubic foot sizes, all of which have ample interior volume with a capacity of 14,400; 150,000; and 21,600 x 2.0ml vials, respectively.
