The MACS Gentle-Air Double Sided Mobile Frame Ventilated Caging System delivers efficient, high-capacity rodent housing with access from both sides. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, it holds 80 to 160 Gentle-Air style mouse cages, including Dura Cage, Uni Cage, or Max 75 models, in 65 or 75 square inch sizes. Upper supply and exhaust plenums are made from removable 22-gauge stainless steel for easy cleaning. The autoclavable frame sits on four rugged 5″ casters, (2) with brakes, and features protective round tube handles on each end. Available in 8, 9, or 10 cage stack heights, this system includes a five-year warranty for long-lasting performance.

IMPORTANT: INITIAL CLEANING

All components of the Alternative Design stainless steel product must be cleaned, sanitized and sterilized, where applicable, prior to being put into service. This unit is made primarily of 304 stainless steel. Use care when cleaning to prevent corrosion that can shorten useful life. Cleaning solutions which contain high levels of chlorine are not recommended for stainless steel parts.

Caster Maintenance

Caster used on this equipment was chosen for its suitability in applications where frequent washdowns are necessary. It is also well suited for applications exposed to heat, cleaning agents, steam, caustic solutions or other corrosive agents, which could cause rust and contamination. After washing and/or autoclaving, check casters for proper operation. Check the axle nut to ensure it is still tight (125 inch/pound is recommended). If the axle and/or swivel bearing has to be lubricated, use a high temp grease.

The Double Sided Mobile Frame holds between 80-160 Gentle-Air style mouse cages (either 65 or 75 square inch floor sizes) including Dura Cage, Uni Cage or Max 75
