- Hotplate-StirrersStirrers are effective when combined with a hotplate, preventing the buildup of hotspots and ‘bumping’ of the solution, but also facilitate a reaction. Automatic stirrers ensure that a solution is constantly stirred, even when left unattended while the hotplate component ensures that heat is consistently applied across the entire sample. - Shaking IncubatorsShaking incubators integrate both a shaker and an incubator into one space-saving unit; basically a linear shaker contained inside an incubated enclosure. Oxygen and the proper nutrients combined with optimal environment conditions are key factors during cell growth. Typically, researchers have used a separate shaker inside an incubator in order to provide some form of agitation or shaking to get their culture media the proper oxygen and nutrients needed. Our shaking incubators have a platform that oscillates horizontally within the enclosure, which creates a form of agitation/shaking. This occurs while samples are incubated at a stable, consistent temperature. CLOSEBead Baths
Bead baths contain dry, thermal metallic beads designed to replace water in any standard depth, non-circulating and non-shaking lab water bath; furthermore, they can also be used to replace aluminum blocks in dry baths and ice in ice buckets. Bead baths are less likely to harbor and contribute to transmitting microorganisms in the laboratory, given that beads are dry and naturally more resistant to microbial growth than water.
