SmartFreez CELL Bottom-Up Controlled Rate Freezing System

CELL by SMARTFREEZ is an advanced controlled rate cryopreservation system designed to improve post thaw cell viability and functional recovery through a patented bottom-up freezing approach. Its directional heat transfer geometry minimizes natural convection and reduces supercooling by initiating ice formation in a small sacrificial layer before promoting uniform upward crystal growth. This controlled ice-nucleation and growth pattern lowers mechanical stress, decreases cryo concentration effects, and supports higher survival rates with reduced DMSO exposure. With programmable multi step methods, adjustable cooling rates up to 5°C per minute, integrated data export and visualization, and Digital Twin compatibility through SMARTFREEZSIM®, CELL enables Quality by Design optimization for reproducible and efficient cryopreservation workflows.
