- Customized Environmental Room Panel Construction: Norlake Scientific Enviro-Line rooms are constructed of polyurethane insulated panels. Polyurethane offers superior temperature-retaining properties, which also boosts energy efficiency. With a 97% closed cell content, polyurethane also provides excellent moisture resistance. Because polyurethane foam allows for thinner walls, you also get the maximum interior storage space. Norlake Scientific foam is also environmentally friendly since it has a blowing agent with zero ozone depletion potential. Installation is simple whether you choose a multi-temperature or constant-temperature room for indoor or outdoor application. Norlake Scientific's modular panels with cam-lock construction make it easy to assemble your structure. Locks are easily activated using a factory-supplied 5/16-inch hex wrench. Should you need to relocate or add panels, you can remove your controlled environmental room and reassemble it.Panels used in Norlake walk-in environmental chambers feature a tongue and groove design for proper alignment and a dependable seal. To further ensure a tight seal, there are continuous gaskets around the outer perimeter of the panel without cuts or breaks at corners. Gaskets are foamed-in-place to prevent falling off or pulling off during shipment or installation.Standard four-inch thick panels are made to hold up to daily usage with 26 gauge corrosion-resistant coated steel interior and exterior. Customized rooms supplied with a floor will include a smooth aluminum interior surface. Other wall and floor finishes and a five-inch thickness are available to suit your application.
